Hey there festival lovers! I know what you thinking. V Festival? More like sausage fest! Well probably that's not what you are thinking... I don't know why i wrote that... Anyway, I wanna present you this fine festival. Actually its now that fine, but Ill get to it.
V Festival is annual two-day outdoor festival held in England. Artists perform on two sites during the penultimate weekend in August. Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshir. Originally founded by Pulp's front man Jarvis Cocker, it was a rock festival. Now days its full of commercial crap. Nevertheless, it got more than few big names performing: Mel C, Dido, N.E.R.D, Razorlight, Faithless, Kaiser Chiefs and so on...
V Festival has been around since 1996. V stands for Virgin group (like it matters). In recent years festival got some negative criticism, about which you can read more here.
All additional info you can find here.
i`ve yet to go to a "v". always way too expensive for what is essentially a refugee camp with shops.
