Defqon.1

   A myriad of colours, huge explosions, non-stop partying and an escape from the everyday inside what is described as a pyschedelic wasteland. Welcome, one and all, to Defqon.1, Australia’s leading hard-dance festival, bringing together some of the biggest names in the genre to celebrate a unique and highly energetic style of dance music.
   Not for the faint at heart, Defqon offers a one-of-a-kind experience to its attendees, bringing together stunning visuals with festival traditions turned on their heads. The location is Sydney’s International Regatta Centre, which spreads the festival over nearly 200 acres of other-worldly atmosphere – a perfect fit for this incomparable event. The event was originally founded in the Netherlands, building up from a cult-following into one of the biggest events on the European dance calendar. Its influence continues to this day, spreading across to Australia for the first time in 2009. Almost instantly a success, the festival has grown from strength to strength and has secured a major reputation as a festival like none other on the country’s circuit.
